Calling all Scientists, Chemists, Biologists, Engineers, Astronomers, Ecologists, Dissectors, Environmentalists and Science Explorers!!!

Want to do some crazy and fun science things?
Want to do your very own chemistry experiment?
Want to know more about how science is everywhere even in our day to day experiences?
Want to have fun while learning about science?

Then this is the camp is for you!!!!

Science Camp Information Sheet

What? Science camp is designed to illustrate the fun and excitement that science has to offer. Kids will have a chance to find out how science is a part of our everyday lives. They have fun in this interactive and hands on learning camp while they are learning about science.

Who? This camp is open to boys and girls starting kindergarten in September up to the age of 13 that are interested in learning about the world around them. The camp will be organized in two age groups. Anyone between the ages 14 – 18 interested in volunteering as a camp leader to assist with the camp are also welcomed.

Where? Roddickton‐Bide Arm – Gerry Byrne Room.

Cost? $20

When? Week of Aug 17 2015

Registration: Monday, July 27 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and
Tuesday, July 28 from 12:00 Noon to 5:00 pm at the Gerry Byrne Room.

Civic Holiday

Monday, August 3, 2015 is declared as Roddickton-Bide Arm Day.

Business are reminded that it is a civic holiday which has been declared by Council under the Provincial Shop Closing Act. All businesses, unless they are exempted under the Act, are required to be closed on that day.

Part Time Town Clerk

Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm

The Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm is seeking the services of an energetic and vibrant applicant with a combination of educational training and work experience to fulfill the duties of Part Time Town Clerk.


The successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to, filling in for the Town Clerk in their absence, overseeing projects and is responsible such as cash receipts, accounts payable, financial recording, working with the public and other office duties.


The successful applicant must have the following qualifications, the Town reserves the right to evaluate based on work experience and education;

1. Diploma in Office Administration preferably with a concentration in Accounting from an accredited institution would be an asset
2. Excellent written and oral communication skills
3. Computer training and experience
4. Be fairly proficient and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, email etc.
5. A working knowledge of computer accounting
6. Combined education and experience will be considered
7. Be bondable

All applicants must be in writing and include a resume with three work related references to the undersigned on or before 4:00 PM, Friday, July 31th, 2015. Applications received after that time or date may not be considered.
